History of the Stoker
Like the inventors of most new product ideas, the stoker, through personal experience and the need for such a product, was developed. As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy building campfires when enjoying various outdoor activities. However, I frequently found myself without a tool suitable for stoking a campfire. Thus, I often used either cooking utensils or garden tools to stoke a campfire, or attempt to find a tree branch or chopped firewood to use as a tool. Sometimes I would resort to kicking burning material within the fire with my shoes or boots, which I found to be an unsafe practice.
Through these experiences, led me to theorize that a long handled tool could be designed to poke and stoke a campfire. Such a tool would allow an individual to safely and effectively move material around in a campfire from a safe distance.
